As another month draws to a close I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites from this month. This is new to me & as I've seen other bloggers doing similar 'end of monthly' favorite Blogs or Vlogs I thought I would hop on the bandwagon and share with you guys a few of my favorites from the first in our Autumn months!
I have been reading a lot this month, watching a lot of TV series on Netflix and trying out new and exciting products for my skin & body. I have also made a few sneaky clothes purchases to update my Autumn wardrobe, some which I have already blogged about but I wanted to show you some of the other things I have been reading, seen, or tried so you can get a sense of my style & my favorite things.
First is two series on TV or Netflix which I have enjoyed to the point where I procrastinate and life stops until I've watched at least 3 episodes in a row. These being:
Downton Abbey - I am actually in Love with this series & after hearing a lot of people recommend it to me and rave about how good it was I thought I would start from the beginning and give it a go. Well, it's safe to say I watched all of the old seasons within 2 weeks (yes I had no life, and was waiting for Uni to start again). I absolutely love the story line of the 19th Century drama, especially between Bates and Anna, who have such a loving and healthy relationship. I love the characters & all the gripping story lines that the series gives and always long for the next episode to start. The new series has actually now re-started for the Autumn & Winter months and is on every Sunday on ITV1 from 9PM, so if you haven't yet watched it, and this sounds like your kind of series, what are you waiting for?!
The second in my favorite series is Orange Is The New Black. I was not sure whether I would like this but after watching Prison Break back to back at the beginning of this year, again, it was recommended to me and I absolutely loved it! Crazy Eyes is my favorite character just because of her comedian ways but sweet hearted nature. The story line follows a women who is suddenly sent to a women's prison after a drug conviction and follows her story (inside the prison and out) and the antics that happen on both sides. I have watched both series now and literally cannot wait for the next one, although I have been told it won't air until next year, so i'm going to have to be patient to follow on for this series!
Two books I have been loving this month are both by an author called Anna Bell. The first in her series of books 'Don't tell the Groom' and then to follow 'Don't tell the Boss'. I am usually a factual reader but since downloading the Kindle app for my iPad. I decided to branch out & focus on something new and after reading the reviews for her books I decided to give it a whirl. I was definitely not disappointed by the Fiction in the stories & had to tweet Anna Bell herself to congratulate her on two great reads which I could not put down! I don't want to reveal too much on these books as I want others to read them and enjoy them just as much as I did but I found them to be so up to date with the times & in many ways I could relate to the main character in both books. I could imagine the funny and embarrassing moments and almost cringe at how a like they are to me sometimes!
Beauty or what I call my 'toiletry' products I have been loving this month are;
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula - I am in love with all of the Palmer's cocoa butter range but this has always GOT to be my favorite. It's a hard and oily formula but smooths so nicely to my skin and helps my skin go back to it's original condition, especially now that the weather is getting colder. I also really think it smooths any stretch marks and helps them to fade easily. I don't usually put this product on my face as my skin is usually combination already but my arms and legs feel amazing after using this, plus the smell is so gorgeous I want to eat the whole pot! (Although please don't!)
Twilight Lush Bath Bomb - I have already raved about this in one of my other blogs but this bath bomb will and always be my favorite from Lush. It's a pink Bath bomb with engraved stars and moons on top. Once let off into the water it creates a pink bath water with a little foam which then turns into a blue colour as the inside reveals a turquoise layer and eventually, once these two colours are mixed together in the water it creates a deep purple/dark blue as the glitter falls out the middle and it really represents the night sky and stars but in your bath! The smell is amazing & every time I pass a Lush shop I can't help but go in and re-purchase a new one. I did hear a little rumor they are going to be selling a Twilight shower gel (Thank you to the lady at Waterloo station Lush!) I really hope they do because I shall definitely be trying that out.
To finish this September favorites, an app I have been LOVING is the Vinted app. It's a clothes selling database for girls to sell second hand clothes or clothes they have never worn but want to sell on. I have already made a few purchases on there & feel it's a lot better than Ebay to look for things of a new style. Some of the clothes look a little worn, but most are really good & from all different high street shops and online stores. Once I have worn my new purchases I will be making a blog post on everything I have bought from there so far so that you can all see what types of clothes girls sell on and how good they are. Everything is so cheap & the payment process is very secure so you don't have that worry of people not sending items and running off with your money! If you haven't already downloaded it, you must, so go do that now! (Not that i'm tempting you to buy more for your wardrobes or anything ;) )
Bye for now! :) x
