I have been wanting to upload this blog for a while now to show you all how I set myself for that long awaited beauty sleep after a busy day!
Recently, I have been wearing make up about 3-4 times a week but usually I wear it every day, it just depends on what I am doing as to whether I feel the need to put a lot of make up on. I have been having a few random break outs on my forehead, as well as an oily T-Zone when I wake up. I have never suffered from bad skin before, so I can only put it down to lack of sleep & too much make up/not washing my make up brush enough!
I wanted to show you all how I prep my face for sleep once I have removed all my make up using baby wipes. I recently read that baby wipes are the worst thing to take your make up off, I'm not sure why. I feel they are the best for my skin, and don't leave my skin feeling oily or too moisturized afterwards.
These products can all be purchased from high street stores and are totally affordable! :)
First of all I will start with the Laidbare DIY two in One Cleanser & Toner as this removes any extra impurities that may have been left behind after I have used the baby wipes. I also feel that using this and splashing my face with water, helps me to feel refreshed (also very good to use in the morning, first thing after you wake up!)
If I don't use this product, I will use another product from Boots and this is the Tea Tree Witch Hazel Exfoliating Face Scrub. I have only recently purchased this item and am so pleased with how it makes my face feel afterwards. The exfoliating scrub helps to make my face feel so refreshed and clean and helps to give me an even skin tone. The only thing I would say about this product in particular is that it is probably better to use in the morning, just because the smell of tea tree helps to wake me up! Tea tree is also a vital ingredient to help fight spots of acne if you are a sufferer of these! Both of these products help to reduce inflammation of the skin & also nourish it back to its original condition.
Next, I will use the Clearasil Rapid Action Deep Pore Treatment Toner. I have been using this for a while now, and as you can see from the picture I need to purchase a new bottle! I use this when I have a really bad break out of spots on my skin, otherwise I will leave it out completely, only because it is very strong on your skin and can dry it out. It does however, do exactly what it says on the bottle and really cleans your pores deep down to prevent further breakouts. I apply this to my face using a cotton wool pad and sometimes after can see the extra dirt on my face (yuk!) Overall, a very good product and I would recommend it to anybody suffering with those nasty invaders!
Last, but not least, I will use the DermaV10 moisturizing night cream. I actually purchased this from Poundland after a friend recommended their products, saying "they were sometimes better than those big brand labels!" It has been one of the best creams I have ever used, and for £1 you really can't complain! I put it on after I have used all the my other products and I wake up with such smooth and soft skin. This cream is perfect if I have used my Clearasil as it stops my skin from drying out.
Well that's my routine before I hop off to the land of nod! :)
Do you have a night-time skincare routine?
Could you recommend any products that I could try?
Bye for now! x
