After seeing this tag on several blogs now I decided to share with you my favorite autumnal ways of life. Now the weather is getting colder here in the UK, it gives me the perfect excuse to change my whole (what was) Summer perspective to an Autumn one & I absolutely love the fact that we have entered a new season, especially when it means snuggling down with a big cup of hot chocolate, wearing a big jumper and spending my evenings watching endless films or seasons on Netflix!
I have gained my first 5 followers this week and although that is tiiiiny compared to some of you great bloggers out there, it's fantastic to know (or hope) that some of you are reading these little moments I share with the blogging world!
What's your favorite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero?
I don't actually have to put much thought into this one at all! When it get's to this time, I simply cannot WAIT for the Christmas themed cups to come out into Starbucks or Costa & my favourite drink to have in these said cups are the Mint hot chocolate's! As I am at University, we luckily have a Starbucks on Campus and I find myself constantly topping up my sugar levels in between lectures sipping these drinks! Naughty, but nice!
Accessories - what do you opt for, scarves, boots or gloves?
I loveeee wearing snoods in the winter, I just think they are fantastic and so easy to put on and off when you're on the go, which I am - 99.9% of the time! Primark do some amazing snoods (my own opinion) and they are always so cheap and very warm because they are knitted with very thick wool!
With boots, I prefer Uggs, or I have done so the past few years but I am actually currently looking into purchasing a pair of Nike Blazers for this winter, just to change up my style slightly.
I am not overly a gloves wearer, but I adore mittens! I think they are adorable to wear in the winter, and they keep my hands really warm. I don't suffer from extremely cold hands but the skin on my hands usually gets very dry in the Autumn/Winter (hello sensitive skin) so I usually pop some of my hand cream on, cover them with my mittens and it locks in all the moisture.
Music - what's your favorite music to listen to?
This year for the first time my music taste changed to the season slightly, which is odd for me because it never usually does. Over the Summer I have been loving a lot of house music. This is probably because back in June/July I went on holiday to Kavos and the whole week they played non stop house tunes so it's been stuck in my head ever since. I think other than that my music taste usually stays the same and my favorite music is usually whatever is in at that particular time, providing it's catchy or makes me want to get up, dance or go out partying!
Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I have just recently been given and purchased two new candle or tea light holders which I will be future blogging about for my uni room which is a bit naughty as we aren't supposed to have candles! But I actually popped into Poundland the other day and purchased some tea lights in a fresh cotton scent for those, which I am yet to try but they smell like fresh bed linen...mmm! But other than that, I usually love the Glade candles which come out in Autumn/Winter as they smell gorgeous and fill the room with such an Autumnal scent! My favourite is usually Cinnamon or Spiced Apple. I have heard that Yankee candles are amazing, so I should really try these out as they have been reviewed on so many blogs that I read!
Perfume - what is your favorite scent for this time of year?
I have been wearing Amor Amor by Cacharel for ages now and since there is a tiny smidge left at the bottom I really need to go out and purchase a new one (where art thou student loan?) So I am yet to discover the next scent. I do usually go for whatever is on offer just because I am a bit of a bargain hunter & like to save money where I can. A skill I have learnt being a student. I am sure I shall blog about my new perfume when that day happens though.
What do you love about Autumn?
I love the fact of being able to reminisce over the amazing summer that has been and gone and prepare for the move back to University. It gives me the perfect excuse to go out and purchase new items for my uni bedroom that will make it feel cosy & like home again. I love being able to finally wear jumpers and have an excuse to layer up with my clothes. Other than those things, I am an outside girl at heart and love walking through falling leaves and seeing all the trees change their colours, and then realize that Halloween is almost here by spotting fancy dress isles in supermarkets & pumpkins being sold!
Favorite make up look?
I have to say I am one of those girls who wears the same make up every day! The only time I ever change up my make up is if I am going on a night out, in which case I will apply a set of false lashes. My favorite being the Girls Aloud Eyelure ones! I usually purchase Nadine's pair as they are super thick and I love having a long lash when glamming up! I do however change my lipsticks every now and again and I have just recently purchased a Lipstick from No 7 in Boots which is a golden berry shade which I love! The only reason I don't wear a lot of different make up which includes eye shadow is because I have sensitive skin and don't want to try too much in the worry that it could irritate my skin.
What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
As I said above I love watching the leaves change colour from green to red to brown and then falling off the trees altogether and then looking down to my feet to see lots of conkers. There's something so refreshing about watching this happen which may sound clique but it's what I love when I am outside walking around. I also love looking forward to Halloween and planning my fancy dress outfit for the night, there's something exciting about deciding where to get decorations from to decorate my uni flat, how to make Halloween cocktails and carving out spooky pumpkins!
I hope you liked this tag and enjoyed reading about my favorite ways and tips about Autumn! If you would like to do this tag as well, please link me to your blog as I would love to read them and share tips on Autumn favorites.
I shall be blogging my first ever September favorites at the end of this month so that should have more information about some of the products I mentioned in this blog if you would like to see them in more detail.
Bye for now! :) x
