AGAIN, I apologize for the long time it has taken me to blog. Since I last blogged I checked my followers which have actually gone up since. I don't have that many followers, but to me this means so much! I am glad that people want to read my blog and keep up to date with what I like to write about every few weeks. I am not very consistent on the blogging front just because Uni demands a lot of my time in regards to work, and I have to keep a social life as well. When I do find time though, I love to write about little snippets of things I am enjoying or get up too and want to share with you all! Last month I did not have many products to blog about, (well enough to put into a favorites blog anyway) so I wanted to share with you this month a few little things I have been enjoying. I did plan on doing a wishlist for Christmas as I have seen a few girls blogging about items they would love to receive, but to me, although there are a few things I have asked for, I feel like I love to give more than to receive and I can always buy the things I want in the sales after the Christmas period is over. Also, I have struggled to ask for things this Christmas. I always find that all year round I am saying 'oh I would love that!' Or, 'I would want this!' But when it comes to people asking me what I would like for Christmas I have absolutely no idea and my mind goes blank! Anyway, November favorites here we are! The first little product I have been loving this month is this coral shade (814) nail varnish from Hema (it looks orange in the picture but I can assure you it's not...bad lighting!) I came across this shop in Kingston when I fancied a 'Me' day shopping around for things I needed and ideas for Christmas presents for other people. I am in love with this shop & wanted to purchase everything in it! They have such a massive range of different shades of nail varnish's and I had quite a job picking one out. I finally decided on this colour as I always find that my nail varnish's eventually turn gloopy and this was definitely a shade I needed to purchase. I love bright colours and this was definitely a must have in my collection. It dries very quickly and applies to my nails so smoothly, so, thumbs up for this shop and range! The second of my products is the 'It's my beautiful skin day' hydrating night cream for all skin types from the same shop Hema. I put this on after I have taken off all my make up after a long day just before I go to sleep & I wake up to my skin feeling a lot more refreshed and vibrant. I had been looking for a hydrating night cream for a while which is not on the pricey side of things & this was such a perfect little tube of cream for under £5. It does exactly what it says on the back and has been a god send as we have approached the cold and dark Autumn and Winter nights! Again, their range of creams including anti-aging products is huge and they have charts in the store for all ages and skin types, in order to help you find the right cream for you. Two candles I have been burning this month are both by Yankee. Their Christmas range has recently hit the stores and I picked these two little gems up from Asda's home range. They were reduced to £1 each so they were a bargain and they last a good few days - if you are burning them for a few hours in the evening. I decided to purchase the Holiday Magic to start with and the smells that it gives off is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The way I can describe it is a cross between cinnamon, Christmas tree pine needles and Christmas scented potpourri that you can get at around this time of the year. This is then mixed with a Christmas spice and you can just imagine the smells now whilst reading this blog! The second I decided to purchase is the Christmas Baking candle which basically smells what it says on the label. It;s a mixture of gingerbread and cinnamon and it makes you imagine what a kitchen filled with Christmas baking to smell like! I thought the bigger candles looked great in their glass jars but were a little out of my budget for candles. But I would eventually like to purchase these when I have a little bit more money! I would recommend them to anyone wanting to create a Christmassy scent within their home with a relaxing and cosy feel. (Sorry about the lack of pictures of the Christmas Baking candle, I burnt it down and then realized I hadn't taken a picture for my blog, whoops!) Last, but not least. I NEEDED to blog about this foundation. I am the worst at changing my foundation every time I go to re-purchase a new one. Being a student, I am always looking for the best as to what is on offer at the time which is a bit naughty but it can't be helped when you are on a budget every month! This is something that I will need to re-purchase whatever the price, because the Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in the shade 200, soft beige is the best foundation I have used in a long time. Not only does this little gem have SPF 18 in (perfect for those Summer months) it also lasts forever. A little bit goes a very, very long way and I find myself popping this on my face in the morning and it lasting well into the late evening when I go to take my make up off. It has such a smooth feel to it which makes it very easy to apply and makes my skin look almost flawless. I have been having a bad time with spots on my forehead recently (yuck) and it has covered my spots so well during the day. I purchased this from Superdrug but I am sure it is available in most high street drug stores that stock Rimmel London. So there we have it, a very lengthy blog for four very lovely products for this month. I know it isn't quite the end of November yet but I felt it was only fair I did another blog & kept you all up-to-date on what I have been thoroughly loving this month. What products have you been loving in the month of November? Can you recommend any other Yankee candle scents you think I may like to try? Bye for Now! :) x |
