Here we are again, another month vanished almost into thin air. Christmas and New Year has been and gone for another year but we are still left to be excited for the year ahead. This has been such a great year for me, I have entered into to my third and final year at University and although I don't yet feel quite ready to leave the student life, I feel a new chapter should begin within the next 6 months and it's really exciting to see what the next year brings. I am sorry for the break I have had in blog writing over Christmas, life has been so busy recently but that being said, here, I have a new favorites blog for you. Some of which I have been loving throughout the month of December and some of which are Christmas presents that I have been enjoying over the past week since Christmas itself. I have been very, very spoilt this year for Christmas presents and feel very lucky to have received the stuff I have. I love every single present I have been given, but I just thought I would pick a few out that I thought you might like to see & read about in this new blog post! I would just like everyone to know I am in no way showing off my presents and what I got, I just thought other's may want to see, in case there are any of you that want to find them in the sales! :) I also apologize, because this is going to be a lengthy blog so grab yourself a cuppa whilst you read me ramble on about my monthly favorites! Barry M nail varnish 'Lady' (silver flitter nail effects) - I have not been able to get enough of this product this month. It's been absolutely perfect for the Christmas and festive season to either put on nail varnish as a top coat or two or three layers on it's own which is personally my favorite way to apply this beautiful nail varnish. It looks great as an 'icon' nail mixed with another colour and I have found it really easy to get off unlike other glitter nail varnish's which have sometimes been a nightmare, which I know I am not alone on! Collection 2000 'passion fruit' lipstick - This has been great for me to wear to parties this month as it has given my lips a real popping colour which goes great with a plain coloured dress such as black or white. It adds colour to the outfit and really makes my lips stand out. I am a big lover of Collection 2000 products as I find them affordable and very easy to apply. I have never had any problems with any of their products and this lipstick has definitely been given a thumbs up by me! Brown boots with a golden heel - It's rare I show off clothes that I like, are on my wishlist or that I have purchased this month but I am IN LOVE with my new brown boots. Unfortunately I could not take them home over Christmas just because of the sheer amount of presents I had to take home and alas, they would not fit in my suitcase. But I cannot wait to wear these boots out more often. The heel is chunky so they are super easy and comfortable to walk in and they are a perfect fit. These will be taken out every year as I feel they are a perfect Autumn/Winter boot. The original Converse - I love Converse, my pink and navy blue ones which were limited edition and I got a while ago have been gradually wearing down for a while now so it was only right to ask for some new ones for Christmas. My mum bought these for me as a present, they are the original Converse colours which is exactly what I wanted as I feel they go with absolutely everything clothing wise. They look very white right now, but I can assure you the way I wear my Converse, they won't stay that way for long! I especially cannot wait to wear these with my big parka jacket I bought a few months ago. Bloch Ballet shoes - This is a bit of a weird item to add to my December favorites, especially as I haven't actually worn these yet and they are not a usual item that you often see bloggers blog about. One of my new year resolutions is to take up Ballet dancing again. I absolutely loved Ballet as a child and since I have lost a lot of weight over the past year I feel that I need something else to help tone my body and regain my balance. I also have a very busy four months ahead with writing my final report for University and hope that it will give me something else to focus on. I purchased these from Dancedirect at a very reasonable price and cannot wait to stitch the elastics properly so I can start my first adult Ballet class! I shall keep you all updated with how I get on with that. Ted Baker perfume's in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter - A present from the lovely Cheryl! These smell absolutely amazing. They are a mixture of what I can only describe as fruity and floral scents. They are the perfect size to pop into your handbag or clutch bag on a night out to keep topping up the smell! They each have their own scent, hence the season names and I think that the packaging with it's pastel coloured labels and gold topped lids are a nice style to display on your shelf. I shall actually be wanting to keep these little bottles after they are finished! Cacharel 'Amor Amor' perfume - This perfume would have to be in my top 5 favorite perfumes EVER. My mum actually got me a new one for a Christmas present to which I was so excited about! I am really awful at trying to explain how scents smell, unless you really smell them yourself. But I know a lot of girls who have had this as a perfume, so if you have, comment below and let everyone know just how amazing this perfume is! I think the smell lasts all day or all night (depending on where you wear it), so if you haven't smelt this scent, go out and smell it right now. You can thank me later ;) Pandora birthstone ring 'May' - a beautiful Christmas present from my Dad. I am in love with this ring. It was on my Christmas list for this year as I have had my eye on it for ages. I also heard birthstone rings are supposed to protect you. I am not sure how much of that is true but I love being able to wear my birth month colour now. I can't stop looking at this ring in it's pretty little Pandora box. 'That Vanilla Moment' by TreacleMoon - I want to eat this. No really, I do. The smell is absolutely edible. It comes in a massive bottle and looks like it is going to last for ages. This is such a great product because you can either massage it deep into your skin in the shower or pour a little under hot running water to create a vanilla bubble bath which is sure to relax you after a long day. I will definitely be putting this on my wishlist every birthday and Christmas now! Adidas AdiPrene + Duramo 6 running shoes - I was really shocked to get these by my boyfriend for Christmas. He knows me too well is all I can say! I had been wanting a new pair of running/gym shoes for ages as I have had mine for well over a year & needed to update! I have used these for running and the gym quite a few times already since Christmas and think they are so much better than my last adidas trainers already. They support your ankle and give the arch of your foot support as you land down on your toes making sure there is flexibility for taking your foot back off the ground when you're running. They are light and provide a lot of air circulation to your feet so forget the stinky trainers! Jack Wills classic navy blue and pink striped weekend bag - Another amazing present from my boyfriend which I am loving! I actually had a weekend bag on my wishlist but had no idea he would purchase this for me. It is easy to carry with two handles to hold or a long extendable strap for over the shoulder or around the body use. It has a little inside pocket with the Jack Wills label stitched inside with their logo writing on either end of the bag. I Feel it's so much easier to carry my things around. I stay at my boyfriends every weekend as he is the other side of London and need a bag to take my things across on the train. This is so much easier for me to carry and it a suitable size for all my belongings, with the added acception of the beautiful classic Jack Wills design with the navy blue and pink stripes! So there we have it guys, a very lengthy but long favorites blog for you all to make up for my lack of blogging over the Christmas break! I am currently writing a list of all the blog I want to do over the next few months but please bear with me as I am currently writing my dissertation for University and things always seem to get in the way of me wanting to sit down, relax and blog but I shall try my best! What did you get for Christmas? Did you spend it with family or friends over your break? However you spent your Christmas holidays I hope it was a happy one filled with lots of hopes and dreams for 2015! :) Bye for now! x |
